Ya might mount a digital camera solid to your bars so you can stop, aim the bars , and snap a quickpic. I have gotten a few moving but they are usually too shaky ..I also thought abought just turning a video on for 10 seconds instead of taking pics..I know it is difficult to stop when you are doing those miles..The thousand mile days I have done took 20/22 hrs..and tehn at LEAST 6 hrs sleep

It's only 14918Kms or 9000Miles, add to that another 600miles at each end for me to get to one of the starting points for about 11,200Miles total and another 1500-2000 if you want to go to Ayers rock

I was under the impression that if people searched for a particular word and all choose the same website (one word or two?) it would raise that site's ranking.

The most important thing is for lots of websites to link to you. It doesn't work if you just set up a bunch of fake websites. Google ranks by popularity, so the more popular the sites are that refer to you, the better.

Listing your site in dmoz.org (open directory) and yahoo directory are a great way to instantly boost your ranking.

Google doesn't look at meta tags either, so make sure every relavent word is somewhere in your text or an alt tag.

Oh, also, submitting your site to google is practically useless, some say even negative. Google likes to find sites via links from other sites.
